Night at Winter Warmer
Since I already had my dinner, I just ate a piece of Lavender Cheese cake and ordered a pot of herbal tea named Country Garden for my drink. The tea is kinda sweet to drink with honey and without the slice of lemon. The lemon made me had the bitter taste for the tea, so I put it out of my cup.

Cafe-Chat
Being chit chat in Apex Cafe with my colleagues for about three hours. I don't think the environment is that nice as I expected before. As usual, most of them who are going to Cafe will bring a laptop for sure. But our actual plan were asking something so didn't bring the laptop out and just kept sitting, drinking and chatting for the whole night. Mimi kept trying on her phone but didn't know what's wrong with it, it just can't be online. =S

Miss them!

Had the marvellous moment together with Lai Qien and Chian Yee for a movie named Ice Age 3. I knew that this movie already in the theatre for a kinda long period but we three just watched it today! Luckily we changed our plan, didn't watch Harry Potter and spent our time on a funny movie. Iced Age is really great and all of them are so cute! I love the cute babe dinosaurs ~ We laughed almost every parts of the movie. Had a great great time with them! (:
I wish to get sushi as my lunch so we headed to Sushi Queen but it's disappointing me. Actually I don't feel wanna go there for sushi just because the mall didn't have either Sakae Sushi or Sushi King, so at last only I chose it. I'll rather back to Sakae Sushi nor Sushi King next time, no more for this outlet! My favourable sushi that I used to eat usually is kinda costly in this outlet compare to the other two! -.-
Hoping for another outing with Yee when she's back again! I'll be missing you badly! (:

Hug is important not SEXUAL ASSAULT!
Hugs certainly feel good, both on the giving and receiving end, and it turns out their effects are more than skin deep. A study by University of North Carolina researchers found that hugs increase the "bonding" hormone oxytocin and decrease the risk of heart disease.
Hugs are good for your heart, they lower blood pressure, and reduce stress, so make it a point to hug someone today! |
In fact, when couples hugged for 20 seconds, their levels of oxytocin, released during childbirth and breastfeeding, increased. Those in loving relationships had the highest increases.
Meanwhile, levels of the stress hormone cortisol decreased in women, as did their blood pressure. Said lead researcher and psychologist Dr. Karen Grewen, "Greater partner support is linked to higher oxytocin levels for both men and women. However, the importance of oxytocin and its potentially cardioprotective effects may be greater for women."
Hugging for Your Heart
"Scientists are increasingly interested in the possibility that positive emotions can be good for your health. This study has reinforced research findings that support from a partner, in this case a hug from a loved one, can have beneficial effects on heart health," said Dr. Charmaine Griffiths, spokesperson for the British Heart Foundation.
Indeed, a previous study, also led by Grewen, found that hugging and handholding reduces the effects of stress. Two groups of couples were asked to talk about an angry event, but one group had previously held hands and hugged, while the others sat alone. It was found that:
Blood pressure increased significantly more among the no-contact group as compared to the huggers.
Heart rate among those without contact increased 10 beats a minute, compared to five beats a minute for huggers.
What's more, Grewen suggests that warm contact such as hugs and hand-holding before the start of a rough day "could carry over and protect you throughout the day."
Benefits of Touch Start Early
A hearty hug in the morning may help your loved one ward off stress all day. |
Humans are clearly social animals, as evidenced by countless studies showing that those who have friends are healthier, as are people who are married.
We need social contact, and that includes touch, even beyond a couple's capacity. Take, for example, the fact that babies benefit from skin-to-skin contact with their mother with better physical development and positive bonding.
A telling example was a study of Korean infants in an orphanage. Those who received an extra 15 minutes of a female voice, massage and eye-to-eye contact, five days a week for four weeks, gained more weight and had greater increases in body length and head circumferences after the four weeks and at 6 months of age than children without the extra stimulation.
Therapeutic touch has also been shown to reduce stress and pain among adults, and reduces symptoms of Alzheimer's disease, such as restlessness, pacing, vocalization, searching and tapping.
Time to Get, and Give, More Hugs
"U.S. couples aren't very touchy feely in public," says Tiffany Field of the Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami Medical School. This is a shame as touch also releases two feel-good brain chemicals, serotonin and dopamine.
Yet, according to Field's studies of U.S. and Parisian cafes, French couples spend three times more time touching than American couples.
So what are we waiting for? Grab your partner, friend or family member and give them a hug today. And if you're really feeling bold, check out the first link below and treat your significant other to a special treat tonight.
12th year of Friendship
Now he's far apart for his futher studies. Wishing him good luck and everything go on very well!
I still need to treat you a meal. ^^

I ♥ family outing
Hooray! I got my new watch from City Chain. A colour that I never had before. Damn loving the decorative diamond which applied on it! =)
Then, we spent the remaining hours in Parkson. Looking at those housewares, furniture and electrical appliances, anyway, it was great and I didn't feel bored at all. But kinda sad that it was a heavy rainy day yay. :( Actually my dad asked us to have our dinner in Gurney but we refused and planned to have it in somewhere else. As it was raining heavily so we got back to Butterworth and dining in Pacific. Lazy to eat at outside when raining, it's troublesome! =( Don't you think?
And I met two of my colleagues in Pacific but I didn't greet at both of them yay as I bet they didn't really see me too. So today, my ass. manager (one of the colleagues that I met in Pacific) said I didn't see him even he was being in front of me on that day. I just knew that I saw him at the handphone's counter choosing his newly handphone and today he did bring it come, Nokia 5800 (a nice touchscreen phone). I met the other one in hypermarket when I was walking through there to meet my parents in the bakery shop. Then my ass. manageress told me that she saw me at Gurney too, I was shock as I always did not realise that for twice already! She said that I just kept looking at those shoes, pumps when I was in the shoe shop. See, I paid fully attention when I'm shopping!!! =D

my MISFORTUNE day
It falls when I first stepped into my office today! First, I've lost my locker key. I put it together with my handphone's bag but then I found it had lost and just left the key chain at there. So I asked for the spare key as I need to put my bag into the locker. No doubt, I'm using the spare key from now onwards. Must be more careful.
I'm somemore kinda emotional today. I seem to lose my emotional control when I happened to hear one of my big mouth colleague said something bad on me. Actually he just said a word, but it's enough for me to be in a bad mood for whole day seriously. I'm sorry for sometimes I may easily lost my control but I already try to keep it as good as I can. That guy is also fucking irritating, my colleague was talking with me and what's the damn he gonna be a part in our conversation! It's none of his business at all! I used to be a very fierce face to him today.
And then, when he finished counting the stocks and gave me the amount, it was incorrect. I just told him it ain't correct without the tone of scolding. Yet he continued for second counting and still gave me the same incorrect amount. I just repeated my word once again, it ain't correct amount. And guess what he said to me? He turned to be fierce and said you count it by yourself better. Well, why not? I rather to do it all by myself instead of giving you. It's just a simple work and you can spent so many hours on it somemore still made a big mistake that is careless in counting! When I finished counting it, it's just exactly 450 - the actual amount. And what the amount that you've counted it for twice, 449? This mean you doesn't make your best at all!!! So who got it wrong now?! Damn you!
Okay finish this part, then late in the afternoon another unlucky thing happened. Well, this one was kinda embarass so I'm not going to post at here. Only my close friends may know it.
After that, I found there's a cut in my elbow. So so so unfortunate!
When I was attending my class, I was thinking that it will be the end for my misfortune day, won't have anything bad happen on me again. Eventually, I got a bad once more!!! Ohhhh damn it, why today I'm so unlucky huh? I fall down and now there're a few of bruises in my hand and leg. It's so so painful.
Is enough for me! The end of my MISFORTUNE day okay?!

You are not alone
It's a pretty nice song. Feeling great on it.
Ohhh. Sore throat again! It's dreadful. I hate that sore throat and mouth ulcer mostly come at the same time. Damn!
Just last night, I've invented a phrase of new words. *laughing* Course books in intelligence and Story books in imagination. Is that mostly people will think that I'm insane when I told them I love to imagine when reading a story book? Do it really sounds weird? My thought is imagination form during I'm reading will make me feels more interested and get myself just as one of the role in the story. It's damn damn marvellous! My crazy thought perharps? Well, I just can admit that it is my uniqueness.
Listening to Chinese song currently but I feel wanna change back to Western songs, there're too little Chinese nice songs that suit me. Choosy me!

Get rid of laziness
Since there are just a few more months to reach November, I gotta work very hard in this subject but also for others at the same time. There are two more subjects which gonna add into our course, and one of them will be the most complicated and the most vital, Accounting. I must be more more more hardworking! It's definitely just depend on myself, so I gotta get rid of those laziness.
Elicia really taught me a lot of things which related to some jobs. She always get the best advices for me. Yes, I did appreciate her for telling me so details. Seriously, recently I like to seek some advice from people which work in different fields. They can really teach us many things that we can't learn from the books. This is the aim why my dad want me to get experience instead of just studying.
Hannah Lim, you gotta be strong, be determine, yet hardworking! YOU MUST!

Party Night

A party night at Heather's house as her family was having a party for her new-born nephew. Yet Heather tried a new look at that night, with fresh curly hair for temporary. Well, curly hair do suit her anyway.
Buffet dinner at the night. Enjoyed having the freshy homemade SALAD so much! It did really satisfied my appetite and I wish I can have it once again. So I gotta make it myself in the future. (p/s: For my friends who knew me long long time ago may know that I even don't know how to cook rice at all, kinda shamed for it well.) Let's get the first move from making salad? Salad is ain't difficult to make and I don't think it need any skills in making it uhhh? My first and only thought for salad is just mix whatever fruits nor vegetables that you desire and apply some mayonnaise together, that's easy right?
Heather's nephew is cute yet adorable. Hopefully I may get such an adorable baby one day too! *day-dreaming*
Photos sharing with all of you,
